To any and all that may come here in an attempt to be shitty about my recent dealings with an artist on here - go fuck yourself. It is between me and them. I don't care if you are friends with them, this has nothing to do with you. It is between me as a buyer and them as a seller of art. Your opinions are not needed, nor desired.
What they did and how they treated me was wrong. I gave them just as much attitude as they displayed to me, for whatever reason they saw fit.
If you're going to be biased, you can eat shit. They were UNCLEAR in their terms of time frame. I did not agree to their time frame of 2 months initially. And, I never HOUNDED them. I asked ONE TIME if there was any progress. Their answer to me was plagued with attitude. I then asked them weeks later if they'd consider a refund on ONE design as I no longer had need of it. They said that $8.00 was apparently too much money for them to refund, and that I'd have to wait the 2 month time frame before they'd consider it. They kept attitude in their replies.
I called them on this. I asked them why they always seemed to have a tone or attitude when they responded to me, as I was being civil. They responded back with more passive aggressive bullshit.
I'm not the nicest of people, but, I was being civil. I gave attitude when I got it. That's how I am. If you're going to be shitty with me, I'm going to be shitty with you and I will call you out if you mislead me. I was misled. AND, in that, I was blamed.
This person was NOT clear in their terms. I found things out AFTER I purchased the designs/artwork.
It's going to be stated here that they claimed they refunded me. I have yet to see the refund. Now, while it's only been a few hours and I have no idea when they did this or if they are going to, I only want the $8.00 I paid. Even if it's not a huge amount, it's still money that I PAID that I EARNED...and I did not get what I paid for.
The other design that I paid for, I'm using. I will continue to use it as I paid for it. I have request a refund on Paypal, however, I'm new to that. I've never had to do that before. If they decide to refund me the full amount of both designs, that's on them. I paid for them together, so there was no way in the refund request to put an amount. I stated in my note there (which I thought went to paypal and not the artist themselves, but, whatever) that I only request the $8.00.
So, let it be known that if they disregard that and refund the the $13.00 instead, I will still be using the design I wanted to keep. I'm not asking for full for both, just the $8.00. And if people want to blacklist me for being something I'm not, instead of seeing the truth of the situation, I mean, go ahead.
If you're going to do art, you need to be aware of your terms and make shit clear as day and not expect someone to just know. And then BLAME THEM when you fail the expectation you gave them. That's what this comes down to. Them not admitting their fault in being more clear on time frame, and blaming me for agreeing to something I initially didn't at purchase.
Considering their DA states that they are foul mouthed and don't have time for bullshit, I mean...just goes to prove even further how not nice of a person they can be.
I UNDERSTAND that life happens. I get that. But, you don't tell someone "a few days" and then fuck them over later by changing that to "2 months". If life is that fucking shitty to you, KEEP COMMUNICATION OPEN! That is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY as much as it is the person purchasing from you. I kept that communication there. They were completely shitty about it.
If you want your BUYERS to respect you, don't be fucking assholes to them and blame them for your unclear terms and time frame.
